Scan

Everyone has the shoebox

The one in the closet you haven't opened since 2019. The one from the guy at work who quit. The pile from that collection you bought off Facebook and never sorted.
Point your phone at it.

  • Recognition runs on the phone itself, against over 35,000 cards stored offline — no signal needed, works in a garage. Tap through one at a time, or go hands-free and just feed it cards. Proxies and custom cards count too: flip on Proxy mode and they track at $0, clearly marked.
  • When it isn't sure, it asks. You get a shortlist, not a wrong card quietly filed in your collection. When hands-free mode refuses a card, you hear it and you see it — nothing vanishes without telling you.
  • And for the ones nothing can read — the showcase frames, the borderless alt-arts, the card that lived in a jeans pocket — photo rescue takes over and identifies it from the image.

Doing this once? The Attic Pass is $7.99, one time, for thirty days of hands-free scanning and full-detail import. Not a subscription.

Build

Find out what's already in there

Arcane Ledger doesn't start you from an empty list and a search bar. It starts from the cards you own and works backwards.

  • You're four cards away. Closest deck shows the archetype you're nearest to finishing and names what's missing. Copies already committed to another deck don't get counted twice — what you see is what you can actually sleeve up tonight.
  • You already have combos. Checked against over 96,000 known Commander combos. What's assembled right now, what's one card short, and which card that is.
  • Search any commander in the game. The 1,300-plus with real decklist data behind them get ranked against what you own — a ranking earned from real decks, and when a commander doesn't have enough data yet, the app says so instead of guessing.
  • Not a Commander player? Modern, Pioneer, Legacy and Pauper get their own builder, legality enforced as you go, the Pauper rarity gate handled. Sideboards included.
  • Whatever your table plays, a deck can be filed under any of more than 25 format labels — Oathbreaker, Duel Commander, Canadian Highlander, Old School and the rest. Labels, not legality enforcement: that stays with the builders above.
  • Taking a deck apart? Deck repurposing shows what those cards could become instead — dismantling something is the start of the next deck, not the end of the last one.
  • And if you wreck a deck at 2am, every editing session is saved — the last fifty, restorable with one tap, merged across your devices.
  • Import your decks by link or paste; they arrive with the exact printings and finishes you chose. Community decks from real players, every one crediting its builder.
Rue, your AI deck advisor

Advice grounded in your cards and real card text

Rue knows every card you own, answers rules questions from the actual card text, and proposes deck changes you approve with a tap. It never touches your decks on its own.

  • Build a deck from cards you already own, free, in any format
  • Upgrade a deck or judge a trade with honest, app-computed numbers
  • Rules questions answered from real card text, and it admits when it isn't sure
  • Every change is proposed first, so you see the preview before anything happens
The Watcher MYTHIC

Your app checks on your cards so you don't have to

Magic never sits still. Bans drop, prices spike, reprints land. Arcane Ledger notices what changed for the cards you actually own and taps you on the shoulder.

  • Ban & unban alerts for the decks you keep, including the good news
  • Price-spike alerts on cards you own, and spare copies worth trading away
  • Reprint warnings for your wishlist, so you can buy in the cheap window
  • A weekly pulse and a monthly report of what your collection did
  • New-Set Radar shows what's in your colors the moment a set drops
Proxies

Proxies are real cards to us

If your table plays with proxies, they're first-class here. You don't have to choose between not tracking them at all and entering them as real cards that inflate your collection value by hundreds of dollars you don't have.

  • Tracked as their own thing. Clearly labelled, held at zero, never counted toward what your collection is worth.
  • Scan them in proxy mode. Shoot a photo of your own alter and crop it to the card frame.
  • Use them everywhere. Build decks with them, check brackets with them, bring them to the table.

Your value total stays honest and your deck list stays complete. You shouldn't have to pick one.

Play

For the table, not the desk

Life and commander damage for up to six players, dice, coin, match logging. The stuff you actually need with a game in front of you.

And when someone asks what bracket your deck is — and someone always asks now — you'll have a real answer in seconds. Checked against Wizards' published Commander limits, with the evidence cards, how many names it checked, and the date of the rubric it used.

It won't hand you a bracket number. The official rubric includes things software can't measure, and inventing one would just be a confident guess in a nice font. It tells you what it checked and what that rules out. At a table, that ends the argument faster than a number nobody trusts.

New players

Magic is a lot

Thirty-odd years of cards, dozens of formats, and a rules document longer than most novels. Most tools assume you're already past that part. This one doesn't.

  • What the colours mean and which one is you. A guide to seven formats, Draft night included. A rules crash course. Help picking a first commander.
  • A guided build for your first deck, and a coach that walks you through your first real game while you're playing it.
  • Card search works in plain English — you don't have to learn a query language to find a red card that draws cards.
  • Cards and archetypes carry a complexity note with the reasons listed, so you can tell whether something is going to be a lot to pilot before you spend money on it.
And the rest of the table

Everything else in the box

Exact-printing scanner

On-device recognition that reads the set and collector number right off the card. Foil-only printings flag themselves, and any card can be marked foil in a tap. Mythic adds hands-free auto-scan for whole stacks.

Collection value

Daily market pricing with history charts, gainers & losers, price alerts, and multi-store comparison, so you know what your binder is really worth.

Bring everything with you

Import your whole collection from a CSV, pasted or picked from a file, and bring decks in by link or plain text with the exact printings intact.

Deck Odds

Real draw odds and an opening-hand simulator turn a hunch into a number before game night.

Playgroup & Game Table

Add friends, message your group, and get matched on trades. The Game Table handles life counters, commander damage, dice, and coin flips.

New to Magic?

There's a built-in crash course, a playstyle quiz, and Rue can pick your first budget deck. The app teaches the game, not just the tracking.

Why players trust it

Honest by design

No silent zeroes. No invented percentages. No hidden missing cards. No confident guesses.

  • A card with no price data shows a dash, not $0. Your collection total says market value — and says buylist runs 20–40% lower.
  • Percentages come with the denominator. Where the sample is too thin to mean anything, you get nothing at all.
  • Filters tell you how many cards they're hiding. A filtered view never pretends to be the whole collection.
  • Proxies never pretend. Tracked, clearly labelled, held at $0 — never counted toward what your collection is worth.
  • Rue won't bluff. It reads the real card text before it answers and says when it doesn't know, instead of making up a ruling.
  • The exact card you own. Scans and imports keep the real printing and finish, not generic stand-ins.

You will see fewer numbers here than elsewhere. The ones you see, you can spend money on.

Questions

Fair questions, straight answers

When does it launch?
Soon, on both Google Play and the App Store. The honest answer is that it launches when it's genuinely ready, not on a date we'd have to force. Join the Discord to be first in. Early community members are how we test and shape it.
Is scanning really free and unlimited?
Yes. Tap-to-scan, unlimited cards, unlimited binders, free forever. Mythic adds convenience and intelligence on top, like hands-free auto-scan, the Watcher, New-Set Radar, and the cheapest-path shopping list. It never takes the tracker away.
Does it work offline?
Scanning recognizes cards on your device, so it works with no connection. Prices, legality updates, and Rue need the internet, and they refresh when you're back online.
What makes it different from other collection apps?
Two things. It leads with what you can build, showing completion against real archetypes instead of just a list of what you own. And it's honest by design. Real prices or nothing, playability kept separate from price, and an AI that says it isn't sure instead of bluffing.
I've never played Magic. Is this for me?
Genuinely, yes. There's a built-in "I'm new to Magic" path with a five-minute crash course on how the game works, a quiz that finds your playstyle, and Rue to suggest a first budget deck. No cards needed to start.
Is my collection private?
Your collection lives on your device, with optional account backup so you can restore it on a new phone. We don't sell your data. Prices are clearly labeled third-party estimates. Details in the privacy policy.
What languages does it speak?
Ten. English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese, using the official Magic terms players see on their printed cards.
